The Downtown Issaquah Association has qualified to join The Main Street Tax Incentive Program through the Washington State Department of Archaeology & Historic Preservation.

The Main Street Tax Incentive credit program provides a business and occupancy or public utility tax credit to businesses that contribute to the Downtown Issaquah Association.

In 2005, legislation was passed creating a state B&O Tax Credit Incentive Program for businesses investing in local downtown revitalization programs. A tax credit equal to 75 percent of a charitable contribution can be claimed in the calendar year following the contribution. By redirecting B&O taxes to the Issaquah Main Street Program, a contribution invests directly in the health and vitality of Issaquah’s downtown.

Contributions support:

  • protecting the historic nature of downtown Issaquah
  • community events
  • flower baskets
  • light posts
  • benches
  • bike racks
  • holiday lights

The DIA’s mission is to promote and enhance the economic vitality of historic downtown Issaquah, and support its membership through programs and events that celebrate downtown’s unique culture.
