Two bombs exploded near the finish line of the Boston Marathon at 2:50 EST on April 15, reportedly killing three and injuring more than 100.

Nine entrants in the race listed Issaquah as their city of residence: Mike Bates, Sumanth R. Donthi, Shannon Harrison, Brian E. Maher, Sue Maybee, Ashley C. Mehrens, Rebecca M. Tollefson, Shelby J. Tueffers and Leslie Vona.

There are finish times listed on the Boston Marathon’s results site for all except two of the runners. Bates and Harrison appear to not have finished. It is unknown at this time whether the bombs erupted before they reached the end or if they did not begin the race at all.

The Issaquah Press is looking for information on the people who took part and their experience during this tragedy. Email
