Skyline High School may have found its new quarterback — Florida all-state quarterback Kilton Anderson.
That’s according to several recent news reports, including a May 6 piece by Tom Hanson, a reporter in Marco, Fla., who wrote that the Naples High School junior is moving this summer to Sammamish and looking forward to throwing for the Skyline Spartans. Anderson told Hanson he is hoping to be settled in time to join Skyline for its spring practice.
According to Maxpreps.com, Anderson has 1,288 passing yards and has thrown for 17 touchdowns.
Anderson’s Twitter page, as of May 8, was wall-papered in the Spartan logo and included a tweet from former Skyline quarterback Jake Heaps, welcoming Anderson to the family, among other messages from the plateau community. Since then, Anderson’s Twitter page has been marked private.
Head coach of the Spartans, Mat Taylor, would not confirm the news, but Skyline Athletic Director Ryan Gilbert said Anderson and his family had visited Skyline the week before to discuss the registration process, once they have moved to Sammamish.
Anderson could not be reached for comment.
According to Hanson and other reports, Anderson’s family is making the move because of his father’s career.
