    Dear Kaylene and family,

I was so sorry to hear about your loss. Clead was a distant cousin of mine and I had lost track of him a long time ago. We grew up in Richland, WA together. Our parents were the best of friends from Lewiston, UT. One of my fond/funny memories of Clead was playing with rubber band guns in their basement. He was also the one who warned me about a high school boyfriend of mine who was partying too much at college in Pullman, WA. I believe Clead was attending school in Idaho but ran across him. Instead I married a returned missionary. We live in Salt Lake City now.

Peter Kay Wheadon sent me the info on his obituary, who heard it from Jerry M. The grapevine is alive and well. I wish you and your family well as you face the rest of your life.

    Sincerely, Ruth Rawlins Hill
