Between 8 p.m. May 24 and noon May 25, someone entered a vehicle in the 1800 block of 251st Place Southeast and took a ring worth $520.
Testing the remote
Police responded to a home in the 2000 block of 277th Avenue Southeast at 8:45 p.m. May 28 after a woman heard her garage door open twice in the same day. An officer was able to determine that someone had stolen the woman’s garage door opener and was likely driving near the house to see if it still worked. Nothing seems to be missing from the home, other than the opener. The officer showed the woman how to change the code for the opener and gave her more tips to avoid garage burglaries.
Police responded to a home in the 2200 block of 244th Avenue Southeast because of a report that someone had stolen the oven between May 20 and 28. The home is in foreclosure and when the real estate agent arrived to clean the home, she noticed the oven was missing. Someone seems to have pried open French doors at the rear of the home. Tire tracks indicate they likely drove a vehicle around to the area near the doors. An officer was able to find fingerprints, but no other evidence.
Police responded to an apartment complex at 710 240th Way Southeast at 7:25 p.m. May 29 when a woman said her car had been moved. She said she’d parked her car and gone to her apartment to shower. When she got out of the shower, she heard a crash and saw her car had hit a wooden support beam. She said she has the only key to the vehicle but insisted she was not driving it. She said she is very good about locking her doors. However, someone had been stealing gas, and getting into her car and driving around at night while she’s asleep. The officer could not find anyone who had seen the incident.
A man called police after finding a backpack on his front porch in the 22200 block of Southeast Fourth Street at 11:45 a.m. June 1. The backpack contained clothing and a toothbrush, but no identifying information. Officers took the backpack and placed it in found property.
A woman dropped off two plastic bags of cocaine she found in the 20300 block of Southeast 40th Street at 9:30 a.m. June 1. She said she found them while she was on a walk. One was between two parked cars, and the other was in the street in front of the same house. She said renters had moved into the house and started having parties a few months ago. She said there was a party the night before.
His last dollar
Police were dispatched to the 6400 block of East Lake Sammamish Parkway Southeast on June 3 because of an unwanted guest at a gas station. Responding officers arrived and contacted the reporting person, who indicated that the offending man was kicked out of the gas station. The man stated that he wanted some water and was willing to spend his last dollar to buy an item if he could have some water.
Well, that’s just grate
A citizen reported a group of juveniles on Northwest James Bush Road dislodged three storm grates and dropped the grates down their respective manholes June 3. Responding officers were able to fish the grates out of the holes and replace them.
An estimated $1,100 was lost from a damaged window and books and two backpacks stolen from a black 2012 Ford Expedition on June 3 in the 1800 block of 12th Avenue Northwest.
One at a time, please
Two vehicles ran into each other in a noninjury accident June 4 in the 1800 block of 10th Avenue Northwest. The drivers were both vying for the same gas pump at the Costco gas station.
Toddler in a pickup
On June 5, police were dispatched to the 1400 block of Northwest Gilman Boulevard because of a report of a 2-year-old child locked in a pickup. Upon arrival, officers were able to unlock the vehicle, and the child was removed and found to be OK.
A 36-year-old Issaquah man was arrested on physical domestic violence charges June 5 in the 900 block of 10th Loop Northeast.
Don’t stop believing, just keep it down
Police responded to a noise complaint at 11 p.m. June 5 in the 2400 block of Northeast Park Drive. The offending person was contacted and advised about the noise. He closed his window. According to the report, he was listening to Journey.

An engine crew was dispatched at 8:40 a.m. May 31 to extinguish passenger vehicle fire in the 23300 block of Southeast 32nd Way.
An engine crew was sent at 4:18 p.m. May 31 to investigate a natural gas leak in the 4300 block of 239th Place Southeast.
Two engine crews lent assistance at the scene of a motor vehicle accident at 12:43 p.m. June 1 in the 24400 block of Southeast 32nd Street. There were no injuries.
Four engine crews were dispatched at 4:46 p.m. June 1 to extinguish a brush fire in the 400 block of East Lake Sammamish Parkway Southeast.
Five engine crews were required to extinguish a passenger vehicle fire at 5:37 p.m. June 1 in the 100 block of eastbound Interstate 90.
Three engine crews were required at 7:59 p.m. June 1 to extinguish a natural vegetation fire in the 12000 block of 160th Avenue Southeast.
Three engine crews were sent at 12:19 p.m. June 2 to investigate an overheated motor in the 100 block of West Sunset Way.
An engine crew was dispatched at 1:07 p.m. June 3 to investigate an unauthorized burning in the 25100 block of Southeast 30th Street.
At 10:11 a.m. June 4, two engine crews were dispatched to the scene of a motor vehicle accident in the 5500 block of 220th Avenue Southeast. There were no injuries.
A motor vehicle accident with injuries at 4:54 p.m. June 4 required the assistance of one engine crew in the 100 block of 225th Place Southeast.
At 12:50 a.m. June 5, two engine crews were sent to the scene of a motor vehicle accident with injuries in the 16200 block of westbound Interstate 90.
Two engine crews were dispatched at 12:19 p.m. June 5 to the scene of a motor vehicle accident with injuries in the 100 block of Front Street South.
A motor vehicle accident with injuries at 3 p.m. June 5 required the aid of two engine crews in the 1700 block of 228th Avenue Southeast.
