Get out your instruments and mark your calendar now for a fun flash mob June 21 to celebrate National Music Day.

Join fellow city residents for an all-instrument flash mob performance of “Louie Louie” on the steps of Issaquah City Hall and Police Department, 130 E. Sunset Way, from 6-6:30 p.m.

There will be musicians in businesses and restaurants downtown and in Gilman Village from 4-9 p.m.

On National Music Day, people around the world celebrate the importance of music through free events. The day is celebrated in more than 450 cities and 100 countries, according to a news release from the Downtown Issaquah Association.
