Firefighters help ready Issaquah Highlands park

June 18, 2013

By Staff

A group of off-duty firefighters donated their time to help renovate an Issaquah Highlands community park.

Firefighters Tom Craig, Kyle Walior and his son Jeff, Matt Cuaresma and Dave McDaniel teamed up with the Issaquah Highlands Homeowners Association to pour a concrete pad for a new park picnic table.

The support was made possible by the Eastside Fire & Rescue Firefighters Benevolent Fund, which provides relief to needy persons suffering from poverty, homelessness and other life situations deserving of charity. The fund can also assist the communities served by the firefighters.

The park, renamed Firehouse Park, had its grand opening June 14. It is located next to Fire Station 73, 1280 Park Drive N.E.
