Arson suspected in house fire

By Staff

A fire was reported before 4 a.m. July 5 in the 15000 block of Southeast 113th Street, which is believed to be intentional.

Eastside Fire & Rescue Deputy Chief of Operations Greg Tryon said no one was injured in the fire, which began in a doorway and spread into the attic.

When asked why EFR responders believed arson might be the cause, Tryon said it was because of “information provided to us by the King County Sheriff’s Office at the scene.”

As to whether the fire was related to the July 3 former fire station blaze, Tryon replied, “I would say no.”
