Second Saturday Film Series continues July 13 with the presentation of the 1948 movie “He Walked By Night.”

The film noir classic tells the true case of the Los Angeles Police Department’s attempts to catch the most methodical and cunning criminal in its history. Starring Richard Basehart, Scott Brandy and Jack Webb, “He Walked By Night” is the inspiration for the long-running television series “Dragnet.” The movie has also inspired numerous other crime films.

“He Walked By Night” will be shown at 7 p.m. in the Eagle Room in Issaquah City Hall at 130 E. Sunset Way.

This will be the last film of the summer, as the series will not have a showing in August. The Second Saturday Film Series will continue in September.
