Feet First, a partner of the city, will hold training sessions for its Neighborhood Walking Ambassador program from 5:30-7:30 p.m. July 10.

Feet First and the city will tell attendees the location of the training session after participants register.

The Ambassadors lead neighbors and friends on fun, community-focused walks around Issaquah to promote the city’s improved walkability. In addition, the walkers will contribute to development by sharing observations and recommendations with city officials.

“The city is interested in highlighting walking as part of creating a healthy place to live, and are encouraging those who are excited about that mission to become Walking Ambassadors for Issaquah,” David Fujimoto, the director of the Office of Sustainability, said in a press release.

Register for the training at www.feetfirst.org or call Darcy Edmunds, Feet First’s volunteer coordinator, at 206-652-2310, ext. 5.
