From July 15-19, Puget Sound Massage Envy clinics will provide free one-hour massages to police officers, firefighters and emergency medical technicians who are actively employed in the line of duty.

The owners of local Massage Envy clinics and spas created the “Thanking our Community Heroes” event as a way to thank the public’s first responders.

At the same time, the clinics will hold a teddy bear drive to provide cuddly friends to children in traumatic situations. Donations must be new and no larger than 12 inches. Those who donate a stuffed animal will receive a free enhanced therapy with their paid massage session.

The free massage sessions for public defenders are by appointment only. A list of clinics and their contact information is available on the company’s website; proof of employment will be requested at check-in.
