Show your colors and artistic talent at the first annual Arts Festival by Issaquah’s artEAST Art Center. The event includes classes, guest artists, family events and exhibitions by artists and students, many of which revolve around the festival’s theme of “Menagerie.”

The fun starts at 5:30 p.m. July 23 with a class about natural world silk painting and ends with a public art walk Aug. 2. The festival is open to people of all ages.

The celebration also spreads out around town to locations such as the Cougar Mountain Zoo and the Issaquah Train Depot.

“This is a communitywide extravaganza of making, doing, learning and gathering together,” said Anne Randall, public relations at artEAST, in a press release.
