Irva “Jean” Croston Kuntz, age 91, of Ellensburg (formerly of Issaquah), passed away July 22, 2013.

Jean was born July 28, 1921, in Seattle, the daughter of Irven and Helen Hynds. She was raised in Seattle and moved to Issaquah in 1944. She married Jim Croston in 1945.

She was a butter wrapper for Alpine Creamery, now known as Darigold in Issaquah. She married Joseph Kuntz later in life and moved to Wrangle, Alaska, for some years. She was a member of the Issaquah Eagles.

Survivors include daughter Donna Kuntz-Fraker, of Cle Elum, and son Denny Croston, of Issaquah; five grandchildren: Rhonda, Lori, Ty, Dennis and Cindy; six great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.

A private family gathering will be held.

Arrangements are under the direction of Flintoft’s Funeral Home and Crematory.

    I know this.. Your mother must have been so proud. It is hard to watch your parents grow old, but there must be such comfort in knowing that your children are protecting you when you can not. You have my prayers and my best wishes for you going forward. Love, Terry
