History museums to host volunteer orientation

August 20, 2013

By Staff

Become a volunteer with the Issaquah History Museums by attending an upcoming orientation session.

From 10 a.m. to noon Saturday, Sept. 14, the history museums will hold a museum volunteer orientation at the Train Depot Museum, 78 First Ave. N.E. The orientation includes an overview of the organization and the community of Issaquah, as well as of upcoming events.

You can volunteer whether you are new to town or not, or love the outdoors. Participants will learn about the community, meet new people and can even participate in hiking, docent, school and trolley programs. Those unsure of whether they can make a long-term commitment can attend orientation to check out the program.

Sign up for the event or get more information by contacting 392-3500 or volunteer@issaquahhistory.org. Would-be volunteers must RSVP by Aug. 31 to reserve spots.
