The great blue herons of artEAST Art Center’s Heron Rookery Project 2013 are taking flight soon to roost again at Blakely Hall, 2550 N.W. Park Drive, in the Issaquah Highlands.

The project engages the community in seeking, discovering and enjoying the birds while discovering artists.

Visit the rookery Sept. 5-28. Blakely Hall is open from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday.

The closing party for the project will be from 6-8 p.m. Sept. 28, hosted by curators Julie Rackley and Valaree Cox, and participating artists. The closing party is free and open to the public.
