Robert Hamlin

Oct. 31, 1926 – Aug. 21, 2013

Bob was born in Minneapolis, Minn., the only child of Ruth and William John Hamlin. He attended Sacred Heart High School in Waseca, Minn. After his graduation in 1944, he served in the U.S. Navy and was stationed at the Sand Point Naval Base in Seattle. In 1958, he went to work for The Boeing Co. until he retired in 1988.

Bob is survived by his beloved wife of 67 years, Patricia Haeger, of Bakersfield, Calif.; his children Christopher Mark Hamlin (Luzia), of Gig Harbor, William John Hamlin, of Federal Way, and Amy Jo McLauchlan (J.D.), of Woodinville; his grandchildren Sean Robert Hamlin (Carol), Tara Allyn McLauchlan and Andrew Ian McLauchlan II; and his great-grandchildren Kira and Kayla Hamlin.

He loved spending time with his family, telling jokes and stories.

A gathering is scheduled from
4-6 p.m. Sept. 7 at “Our Place,” the Town Hall in Providence Point, Issaquah.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to The Salvation Army.
