Participate in state water quality updates

The state Department of Ecology is seeking public input as it updates the state’s surface water quality standards for toxics.

The department will hold two public meetings at its headquarters in Lacey, but both can be accessed remotely.

The first meeting, a Sept. 12 policy forum, is available as an interactive webinar from 9:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Register for the webinar online at

The second meeting, a Sept. 16 delegates’ table, is from 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. The table consists of individuals representing the interests of their constituencies. Delegates provide advice and perspective to the department.
