The city of Issaquah Arts Commission and 4Culture presents classic films for free with their Second Saturday Film Series Sept. 14 with “They Made Me a Criminal.”

Airing at 7 p.m. in the Eagle Room at City Hall, 130 E. Sunset Way, the 1939 classic movie “They Made Me a Criminal” stars John Garfield as boxer Johnny Bradfield.

Bradfield, after thinking he killed a man he knocked out in a post-fight brawl, flees to an Arizona ranch, run by Goldie (Ann Sheridan) and her mother (May Robson). Hot on his trail is detective Monty Phelan (Claude Rains).

Find out if he takes Johnny back east in handcuffs.
