MOD Pizza will open a location in the Issaquah Highlands tomorrow at 1568 Highlands Drive N.E., Suite 130.

This will be the 11th MOD Pizza location in Washington state.

The store will open at 11 a.m., and the first 52 people in line will receive a free pizza. There will be a retro photo booth in the store all day, and names will  be collected for a grand-prize drawing of pizza for a year. Names will be collected all weekend and a winner will be notified Oct. 7.

The MOD Pizza concept was developed in 2007 by northwest natives Ally and Scott Svenson, who built Seattle Coffee Co. in the UK before selling it to Starbucks in 1998.

MOD’s pizzas are Made-On-Demand, using their signature dough and sauces, all made fresh daily. Customers can choose from a menu of 10 pre-designed pizzas or create their own, choosing from more than 30 toppings.

Pizzas are the same price regardless of the number of toppings ($4.47 to $9.17 based on size) and are hand-cooked in an 800 degree display oven within 2-3 minutes. MOD also offers a selection of made-on-demand salads along with draft and bottled beer, wine, pizza dough knots, milkshakes, house made lemonades and iced teas.

In 2013, MOD Pizza was recognized as one of the Top 50 Breakout Brands by Nations Restaurant News and ranked as a fastest growing company and best places to work by the Puget Sound Business Journal.
