Zombies to invade Highlands Green Halloween Festival

The Issaquah Highlands Council presents the 13th annual Green Halloween Festival, from noon to 4 p.m. Oct. 26 at the new Grand Ridge Plaza.

There will be carnival rides, games, pony rides, inflatables, food, music, giveaways and laser tag.

A flash mob performance of “Thrill the World” at noon and again at 4 p.m. Zombies will then hop a trolley to downtown Issaquah and join the performance there at 5 p.m.

A free trolley offers transport to and from the festival from various stops along Park Drive.

Tickets for the carnival are $1 each or participants can purchase a $20 bracelet and receive four hours of unlimited events (food not included). One canned food donation can be substituted per ticket. Donations will be given to the Issaquah Food & Clothing Bank.

To accommodate the festival, 10th Avenue Northeast between Park Drive and High Street, as well as the interior parking lot and the top deck of the new parking garage, will be closed from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m.
