Local grad earns Biola University scholarship

Biola University freshman Austin Quamme, of Issaquah, was among 53 students who received the college’s highest scholarship — the Trustee’s scholarship — for the 2013-14 academic year.

Freshmen are eligible for the $12,000 Trustee’s scholarship if upon entering the university, they meet the requirements of grade point average of at least 3.5 and a combined SAT score of 1430 in math and English scores. About 4 percent of this year’s incoming class received this award.

Issaquah students named to dean’s list

Mark Stacy and Peter Stacy, both of Issaquah, were named to the spring 2013 Dean’s List at Biola University in La Mirada, Calif.
