City hosts Fill-the-Truck Food and Clothing Drive

NEW — 6 a.m. Nov. 28, 2013

The Eastside Firefighters Benevolent Fund and First Due Movers are once again joining forces for the Fill-the-Truck Food and Clothing Drive.

From Nov. 29 to Dec. 1, help fill a 24-foot moving truck with donations to the Issaquah Food & Clothing Bank and the Mt. Si Food Bank. The truck will be parked outside Fred Meyer, 6100 E. Lake Sammamish Parkway S.E.

The following items are needed:

  • canned meats
  • canned salmon and tuna
  • canned chili and soup
  • canned fruits and juices
  • spaghetti sauce
  • shelf-stable milk
  • peanut butter and jelly
  • oatmeal
  • breakfast cereals
  • baby food and formula
  • dehydrated pinto beans
  • shampoo
  • soap
  • deodorant
  • toothpaste
  • toothbrushes
  • new socks and underwear
  • facial tissue
  • laundry detergent
  • cleaning products
  • diapers, sizes 5-6
  • rain gear, tarps and tents
