Kathleen Broome

Kathleen (Kitty) Broome passed away Nov. 29, 2013. She was a longtime Issaquah resident.

Kitty was born in Stanley, N.D., on July 13, 1946. She grew up in Spokane, and graduated from Lewis & Clark High School.

She raised four children there — Kerri (Jerry) Malbeck, of Connell, Nikki (Joel) Guthmiller, of Monroe, Bob (Christine) Pratt, of Spokane Valley, and Lisa (Cody) Johnson, of Spokane Valley. She moved to Issaquah in 1982 and was an active member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles.

She is preceded in death by her husband Rich Broome, her father Andrew Jellesed and her grandson Jason Guthmiller.

She is survived by her mother Charlotte Killian; her sister Penny Hill; her four children; eight grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and her beloved dog Abby. She will be missed by all of her family and many friends.

At her request, there will not be a funeral service, but a small gathering of family and friends will be planned.
