Wrong-way, head-on collision injures two

Two men were injured in an early morning head-on collision on Interstate 90 Feb. 23.

The Washington State Patrol said a 2002 Volkswagen Passat was traveling eastbound in the westbound lanes of the highway, when a 2006 Lincoln Town Car struck it head on.

Both drivers were transported to Overlake Hospital. The accident occurred at 12:18 a.m. at the westbound junction of state Route 900.

The wrong-way driver, 18-year-old Sammamish resident Nicholas Brodeur, was taken to a hospital and arrested for DUI, according to the Washington State Patrol report.
