Rotary Club honors top seniors

The Rotary Club of Issaquah recently honored the following seniors as its February 2014 Students of the Month:

Katy Orr

  • Liberty High School
  • Recognition in music
  • Plays Irish drum, sings, arranges music and directs a Celtic ensemble, learning bass drum
  • Theater, screen writing, acting, active volunteer in church
  • Maintains a 3.6 grade point average, taking Advanced Placement psychology, Honors physics, and College calculus
  • Accepted at Northwest, Montana State and Eastern, pursuing degree in business and music or theater

Natalie Gress

  • Liberty High School 4Recognition in drama
  • Member of National Honor Society
  • Drama Club president, Improv Club captain, Honor Thespian, student chair for Renton Municipal Arts Commission, Select Soccer Team captain four years
  • Holds a wide variety of leadership roles and works untold volunteer hours
  • Goals of four-year college degrees in theater and English


Kylie Fletcher

  • Issaquah High School 4Recognition in drama
  • Singing, dancing, acting; playing multiple musical instruments
  • Takes part in all drama department musical and dramatic productions in both supporting and lead roles. Youth Theatre NW production of “Spring Awakening,” Village Theatre summer stock pit orchestra
  • National Honor Society member, Advanced Placement scholar
  • Attend Boston College for double major in theater and mathematics


Eric Hall

  • Issaquah High School 4Recognition in music
  • Member of Jazz Band, Wind Ensemble, Evergreen Philharmonic, Jazz Combo
  • Western International Band Clinic, and representing the U.S. in Pacific Honors Ensemble Program in Brisbane, Australia
  • Three-year varsity football scholar athlete, Eagle Scout, Issaquah Schools Foundation board member, National Honor Society
  • Goal of attending a four-year college on the East Coast
