Teenagers from local high schools are preparing for their production of “Spamalot” through 5th Avenue Theatre’s Rising Star Project.

The yearly project allows high school students from Washington to gain firsthand experience of professional theatrical productions, including promoting and performing.

Come see one of three performances this weekend at 5th Avenue Theatre in Seattle. Support local talent, including Rosie Smith, of Eastlake High School, and Bryan Hanner, of Issaquah High School, both part of the ensemble cast. Roger Glerum, of Eastside Catholic High School, will be in the percussion section of the orchestra.

The play is at 8 p.m. March 15, and 2 and 8 p.m. March 16. Purchase tickets ($25 adults, $8 students) online at www.5thavenue.org (promo code COW), at the box office or by calling 206-625-1900.
