Issaquah police are asking for the public’s help in finding a man suspected of stabbing another man on Friday night.

The victim, a 22-year-old, was stabbed at about 10:25 p.m. near the Issaquah Salmon Hatchery, 125 W. Sunset Way, police said. Responding officers searched the area, but could not locate the suspect.

The victim was taken to Overlake Hospital Medical Center in Bellevue. He and numerous witnesses have identified Benjamin T. Haldeman, 20, as the suspect.

Haldeman, of Issaquah, is 5-feet-8, 160 pounds, with green eyes and brown hair. He was last seen wearing a dark-colored jacket and gray sweatpants, and carrying a black backpack.

Police say he should be considered armed and dangerous. Anyone who knows his whereabouts should call 911.
