Art sought for ArtWalk

The Downtown Issaquah Association invites artists of all types and styles to submit work to be juried for the 13th annual Downtown Issaquah ArtWalk season. The submission deadline is April 1.
The association welcomes emerging artists of all ages, as well as established professionals of the trade. Artists will be recognized with a People’s Choice Award and other awards throughout the season.
Last year, an estimated 10,000 people came into downtown Issaquah to see and purchase art, hear live music and support downtown.
Artists are paired with a participating downtown venue to set up inside the business using wall space, easels, tables or other display arrangements. Outside spaces are also available. Artists must be able to set up before the 6 p.m. start time and be present with the artwork throughout the event. Artists can have an assistant to help with the show but must be present for most of the event. In most cases, unsold artwork will need to be removed at the end of the evening.
The fee for artists is $25 per event due upon confirmation of participation. No charge for those 18 years and younger. Artists will be placed in venues at presenter’s discretion.

Artwork will be juried and artists will be notified by May 1 if they have been accepted for the 2014 season.
ArtWalk is typically the first Friday of the month June through September. This year’s dates are June 6, July 11 (second Friday due to July 4th holiday), Aug. 1, Sept. 5. The event each month is from 6-9 p.m.
