Meet local hydroplane driver Kip Brown at hydroplane museum’s season preview

NEW — 6 a.m. April 17, 2014

Local hydroplane driver Kip Brown will be at the Hydroplane and Raceboat Museum in Kent when it hosts an H1 Unlimited hydroplane season preview April 19.

Fans of the sport will get to meet with Unlimited hydroplane officials, team crew chiefs and drivers. Brown is with Preston-based team Our Gang Racing.

The preview includes a forum discussion about upcoming rule changes, a chance for fans to get autographs and a silent auction featuring hydroplane memorabilia.

The event is from 4-7 p.m. at the Kent museum, 5917 S. 196th St. Cost is free for members and $5 for nonmembers.
