NEW — 6 a.m. May 5, 2014

Evergreen Mountain Bike Alliance staff and volunteers will be at the East Tiger Summit parking lot from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. May 10 to celebrate the grand opening of three new trails open to mountain biking that were completed this spring: Silent Swamp, Joy Ride and Fully Rigid.

The public is invited to come out for free guided rides at 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. on the new trails. There will also be updated trail maps, information about what’s next for mountain biking at Tiger and a barbecue.

The three trails were built through a partnership between the Evergreen Mountain Bike Alliance, state Department of Natural Resources staff and Puget SoundCorps. They expand the trail system to 12 miles open to biking.

East Tiger Mountain is a popular mountain biking destination that sees more than 60,000 rider visits per year.
