Free bike rodeo is May 18

The city will host a free Kids Bike Rodeo from 9 a.m. to noon May 18 at Pickering Barn, 1730 10th Ave. N.W.

Experts will offer bike safety checks, helmet fittings, a bike skills course, music, raffles, refreshments and more. Free helmets will also be available for children in need.

Participants can donate a used bicycle to receive a raffle ticket, while children can bring their own refillable water bottle for a chance to win door prizes.

The event is presented by Recology CleanScapes, the city of Issaquah and Bike Works. The Kids Bike Rodeo is a zero waste, zero cost event.
