University of Washington Medicine and Era Living will kick off a four-part lecture series about healthy brain aging with a May 7 talk at University House Issaquah.

Dr. Bruce Ransom, who leads the UW School of Medicine Neurology Department, will share key insights about how aging affects brain function and thinking.

Ransom specializes in brain physicality. His lecture begins at 10:45 a.m. at the local retirement community, 22975 S.E. Black Nugget Road.

All attendees will gain important tools to better understand normal memory loss, versus symptoms of cognitive problems.

The community is invited to the free event, but reservations are encouraged by calling the facility at 654-1485.
