Sixty youngsters and their families received free bike safety checks and helmet fittings, learned bicycle traffic safety, rode an obstacle course, and enjoyed music, raffles and refreshments. The event was presented by Recology CleanScapes, the City of Issaquah and Bike Works. Ten recycled bicycles and 22 new helmets were given out. The Bicycle Center performed repairs and Superior Seconds had items available through their neighborhood gear exchange. By Greg Farrar / The Issaquah Press
