Karen Parlet, of Issaquah
May 27, 2014
Karen passed away May 15, in her home in Issaquah.
She was born Aug. 14, 1947, in Provo, Utah, to Lucille and Del Roy Zobell. She was raised in Provo and graduated from Provo High School.
Karen married Mike Parlet in Maui, Hawaii, on July 12, 1989. She and Mike bought their home together on the Issaquah Plateau in 1989 where they have remained residents. Karen worked in financial management for The Boeing Co. until her retirement in 1997.
Karen was a very talented artist. She enjoyed traveling, fishing, zip-lining and parasailing, but most of all, she loved spending time with her family. Karen was a beautiful woman: She is remembered as being strong and feisty, yet compassionate and generous.
She is survived by her husband Mike Parlet, of Issaquah; her daughter Teresa Bradford, of Lynnwood; and son Nathan Bradford, of Marysville. She is also survived by her brother Dick Zobell, of Provo, Utah; her sister Charlotte Hokanson, of Pocatello, Idaho; and her brother Sheldon Zobell, of Issaquah. She will be missed by her beloved grandchildren: Alexa, Logan, Sophia, Mykayla, Ryder and Mavrik (who is due June 2014).
Her celebration of life was held at Flintoft’s Funeral Home with burial at Upper Hillside Cemetery, Issaquah.
