Teen Fest is June 7

The city of Sammamish presents Teen Fest 2014 from 2-9 p.m. June 7.

The event kicks off at 2 p.m. with a skate competition in the Sammamish Commons, 801 228th Ave. S.E.

Competitors must be in middle or high school and must fill out a registration form and register in advance, which opens at 1 p.m. Registration fee is $5/residents with school ID, $10/ nonresidents. Helmets are required to compete.

The Redmond/Sammamish Boys & Girls Club sponsors a live show that immediately follows the skate contest at 6 p.m. Performances include:

  • 6 p.m. — Scinite, sponsored by the Redmond Fire House
  • 6:40 p.m. — Henry Lavalee, sponsored by the Mercer Island Boys & Girls Club
  • 7:20 p.m. — Stereotype Nation, sponsored by Moore Brothers Music
  • 8 p.m. — Moneta, sponsored by Kiwanis Club of Sammamish

A shuttle will be provided from the south Sammamish Park & Ride to the commons starting at 5 p.m. through the beginning of the concert and back to the park and ride after the music ends at 9 p.m.
