Frances and Daniel Pope, of Issaquah, announce the wedding of their son Richard Pope to Alice Clark, of Bethel, Alaska.
The wedding was May 24, 2014, at the Hilton Garden Inn, Issaquah. The wedding was officiated by the Rev. Keith Ferguson, uncle of the groom.
The bride’s parents are Bessie and Clarence Clark, of Aniak, Alaska.
The bride’s attendants included maid of honor Roberta Howard Tranthan, of Bethel, Alaska; and bridesmaids Natalie VanCleave, sister of the groom, from Corvallis, Ore.; Daisy Chikoyak, daughter of the bride, from Bethel, Alaska; Dottie Cotterell Bode, cousin of the groom, from Minneapolis, Minn.; and flower girl Elaine Pope, niece of the groom, from Boise, Idaho.
The groom’s attendants included best man Jonathan Cerar, of Bellevue; and groomsmen Joe Toney, of Issaquah; Jason Boyles, of Issaquah; Sean Chikoyak, son of the bride, from Bethel, Alaska; and ring bearer Robert Pope, nephew of the groom, from Boise, Idaho.
The music was performed by cellist Julia Pope, sister of the groom, from Boise, Idaho. The bride was given away by Wilbert Nicholas, cousin of the bride, from Anchorage, Alaska.
The newlyweds honeymooned on an Alaskan cruise.
Richard Pope, of Bethel, Alaska, graduated from Issaquah High School in 1994, and then obtained a bachelor’s degree in psychology and sociology from Seattle Pacific University in 1998. Richard owns his own business, Bethel Alaska PC, established in 2004.
Alice graduated from Aniak High School, in Aniak, Alaska, and works for Yukon-Kuskokwim Health Corp. Patient Travel in Bethel, Alaska.
