5 Johnsons bring one good time to Concerts on the Green

The 5 Johnsons plan to bring one big play list of rockin’ classics to the Concerts on the Green stage Aug. 12 at the Issaquah Community Center.

Picnicking kicks off at 6 p.m.; bring a blanket. Music is from 7-8:30 p.m. As many as 500 revelers attend, come early to stake out your spot.

Members of one of the 1990s top party bands, The Machine, reunited to from The 5 Johnsons. To keep you dancing, The 5 Johnsons cover tunes from Act Naturally by the Beatles to Wipeout by the Surfaries.

The concerts, at 301 Rainier Blvd., are presented by Issaquah’s Parks & Recreation Department and the Issaquah Arts Commission, in collaboration with the Kiwanis Club of Issaquah. Kiwanis sells refreshments during the show, including hotdogs and hamburgers.

Be sure to schedule a return to the Aug. 19 concert, featuring the return of Wally & The Beaves performing 50s and 60s pop.

The concerts are free, but donations are accepted. The money is put toward the next season of concerts.
