Humane society offers fun, educational program for teenage animal lovers

Apply today for the Humane Teen Club at the Seattle Humane Society.

The club is a great program for teens 13-17 who are interested in learning about companion animal welfare and becoming volunteers at the humane society before they turn 18. Application deadline is Aug. 28.

Accepted applicants will learn about companion animal care and training as well as develop leadership skills. The Humane Teen Club promotes a service ethic in teens, and prepares them for volunteer service opportunities at the humane society.

The Humane Teen Club meets two Saturdays each month from October to June, to celebrate and explore the power of animal companionship, and the importance and benefits of the human/animal bond. Space is limited to 40 members who are chosen based on the strength of their application essays.
