About The Press


The Issaquah Press is the oldest newspaper on the Eastside, in its 108th year of continuous publication.

The Issaquah Press became a subsidiary of the Seattle Times Company July 1, 1995.

The Issaquah Press is delivered to nearly 16,000 homes each week. It is a “voluntary pay” newspaper and nearly 5,000 homes choose to pay to subscribe.

Subscriptions are $26/year or single copies are 75ยข each.

Issaquah Press Inc. employs 21 full-time employees, 7 part-time employees, and 40 independent carriers to publish and deliver your weekly issue. The Issaquah Press news team consists of one editor, four reporters, a news clerk and a photographer.

Old issues dating back to 1907 are available at the office for research.

The Issaquah Press is the City of Issaquah’s Legal Newspaper.

The Press is printed at Rotary Offset Press in Kent.

‘Issaquah Living’ magazine is published twice annually by The Issaquah Press.

The Issaquah Press is proud to be the publisher of the ‘Ohfishal’ Salmon Days Program.

Issaquah Press Inc. also publishes The Issaquah Press, a weekly founded in 1900; Sammamish Review, a weekly founded in 1992; SnoValley Star, a weekly founded in 2008; and Newcastle News, a monthly founded in 1999. All are free distribution or voluntary-pay papers.

All four newspapers are currently headquartered in Issaquah. Each newspaper has its own editorial team of professional journalists but shares advertising and administrative staff. The papers are printed at Rotary Offset Press in Kent.

The newspaper group has been led by publisher/VP Debbie Berto for more than 30 years. Issaquah Press Inc. is an affiliate of the Seattle Times Company.
