In 1998, two Newcastle City Council members approached The Issaquah Press Inc. newspaper group about starting a newspaper in their young city. The first issue of Newcastle News was published in April 1999. It is now the city’s primary communication link, designed to reflect the freshness and pride of a growing suburban city.
Founded in 1992, the Sammamish Review is a free-distribution newspaper, mailed and carrier delivered to 15,000 homes and businesses in Sammamish zip codes 98074 and 98075. Copies are also available on local newsstands.
SnoValley Star is published by Issaquah Press Inc., a newspaper group in east King County, Washington, serving communities near the Interstate 90 corridor.
The first issue of the Star was published March 6, 2008. It is a free-distribution paper, mailed to 11,500 homes and businesses in North Bend and Snoqualmie. Papers are also available at key pick-up spots in the two cities.
Issaquah Press Inc. has been an affiliate of the local Seattle Times Company since July 1, 1995. The flagship newspaper, The Issaquah Press, was founded in 1900 and is the oldest newspaper on the Eastside.
