Angus breeders across the nation in 2014 registered 298,369 head of Angus cattle.

Ancient Arts Bodywork has announced the addition of Jeff Nadeau to the Issaquah healthcare clinic.
Nadeau attended the Brian Utting Massage School (now Cortiva Seattle) and graduated in 1995. He was a Boeing inspector for 16 years until he found his new career as a licensed massage practitioner in Bellevue.

Issaquah Highlands Dental Group participated in Smile Generation Serve Day on Aug. 23.
The annual event brings together Pacific Dental Services-supported dentists and team member volunteers, and provides dental care to patients in need.
Seven patients were seen at the Issaquah Highlands office, receiving more than $12,500 worth of dental care.

Eastside Baby Corner was one of 16 nonprofit organizations to receive a $5,000 Community Benefit Award from BECU as part of its People Helping People Awards.
To recognize and honor BECU members and the local nonprofits they support with time or money, on May 1, BECU asked its members to nominate their favorite local nonprofits to receive a $5,000 Community Benefit Award.
More than 500 nominations were received representing a wide array of different causes. Eastside Baby Corner helps kids thrive by providing basic necessities for disadvantaged children.

Arena Sports, the parent company that purchased the Sammamish Club, is changing the name to Issaquah Fitness.
The name change, official Sept. 1, is to alleviate confusion about where the club is.
“When the Sammamish Club was originally started, the city of Sammamish did not exist,” Ramon Velasquez, general manager the club, said in a news release. “The club actually resides in the city of Issaquah not Sammamish. We are proud to announce that we will be changing our name to Issaquah Fitness to better reflect our location and our purpose.”

Costco Wholesale has leased an Issaquah office building developed by Vulcan to provide growing room for its headquarters staff, which now numbers about 3,000.
The 177,000-square-foot building at Sammamish Park Place, off East Lake Sammamish Parkway at S.E. 51st St., is about a mile from the warehouse retailer’s headquarters at 999 Lake Drive.
Chief Financial Officer Richard Galanti said the lease gives Costco more room for part of its information technology staff and other operations.

The Washington State Society of Prosthodontists has recognized Dr. Mike Hamid Mirsepasi at Noble Dental Care, in Issaquah, for his service to the society.
He served as secretary in 2010-12 and president 2012-13.
Mirsepasi is the only trained prosthodontist in the Issaquah and Sammamish area.
Recognized by the American Dental Association, prosthodontists are experts in the prevention and treatment of tooth loss.
Mirsepasi treats patients of all ages to make their smiles look beautiful and function the way they should. He specializes in the complex restoration of teeth, including dental implants, dentures, cosmetic dentistry, dental crowns and bridges.
