<p>The Issaquah Highlands Toastmasters host an open house from 5:30-7:30 p.m. Feb. 24 at Blakely Hall, 2550 N.E. Park Drive.</p>
<p>Just Between Friends hosts a three-day Spring Event, a community consignment event that lets families earn cash quickly by selling new and gently used items they have outgrown. Families can also find great deals on thousands of items, including children’s and maternity clothing, baby equipment, furniture, DVDs, toys and much more. The event is at Pickering Barn, 1730 10th Ave. N.W., from 11 a.m. – 8 p.m. Feb. 26, 9 a.m. – 6 p.m. Feb. 27 and from 9 a.m. – 2 p.m. Feb. 28. Admission is $2 Feb. 26 only and free the other two days.</p>
<p>Scottish Ceilidh dancing is from 7-9 p.m. Feb. 28 at the Issaquah Valley Senior Center, 75 N.E. Creek Way.</p>
<p>Come watch the University of Washington and Washington State University in the lacrosse version of the Apple Cup at 7 p.m. Feb. 28 at Eastside Catholic High School, 232 228th Ave. S.E., Sammamish. Admission is free. Both teams feature local high school talent playing at the collegiate level.</p>
<p>Curves of Issaquah is participating in its annual Food Drive during the month of March by collecting perishable items and monetary donations for the Issaquah Food and Clothing Bank. Members who donate a full grocery bag or a minimum of $30 cash receive a reusable Curves grocery freezer bag. Nonmembers who do likewise receive a waiver on the cost of joining. <p>Eastside Fire &amp; Rescue hosts a blood drive from 9 a.m. – 3 p.m. March 12 at its headquarters station, 175 Newport Way N.W. In addition, EFR will also incorporate the Bone Marrow Registry for those who choose to become a bone marrow donor. The initial first step in the bone marrow donor procedure is swabbing the inside of your cheek and then filling out the appropriate paperwork. Donors must be in good health, 18 years of age or older and weigh at least 110 pounds. Anyone 16 or 17 can also donate with written consent of his or her parent or guardian.</p>
<p>The Issaquah Rotary Club’s fourth annual Grape Escape is from 6-9 p.m. March 13 at the Hilton Garden Inn in Issaquah, 800 N.W. Gilman Blvd. Sponsored by Swedish Hospital, this annual wine tasting and community social event funds scholarships for local graduates and brings the community together for bargains on fine and interesting wines not readily available in local outlets.
