The bride-to-be, daughter of Jim and Kathleen Gibson, of Sammamish, is a 2006 graduate of Eastlake High School. She earned a Bachelor of Arts in marketing and a minor in sociology in 2010 at Whitworth University, where she also played softball for the school. Carrie is an inside sales and marketing associate at Balance Financial.

The future groom, the son of Bob and Janice Bowen, of Issaquah, is a 2005 graduate of Skyline High School. In 2009, he earned a Bachelor of Arts in mass communications, with a minor in leadership studies, from Whitworth University. He is a school specialist at Public Consulting Group.

Lauren Carter and Matt Frugé

Lauren Carter and Matt Frugé announce their engagement to be married Aug. 10, 2012, at Fort Worden in Port Townsend.

The bride-to-be is the daughter of Bill and Teri Carter. She was raised in Ferndale and is a 2005 graduate of Ferndale High School. Lauren went on to honor college at Washington State University, where she graduated Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Arts in environmental science.

She works as a sustainability consultant for McKinstry, in Seattle.

The future groom is the son of Dwight and Linda Frugé, of Issaquah. Matt graduated from Liberty High School in 2001. He also earned a Bachelor of Arts from WSU in 2007 in hospitality business management.

He is employed as an air/sea agent for Holland America, in Seattle.

Angelica Marie Germani and Pablo Alejandro Mendoza, both of Redmond, announce their engagement to be married in September 2012 in Woodinville.

The bride-to-be, the daughter of David and Evangeline Germani, of Issaquah, is a 1999 graduate of Liberty High School. She earned a Bachelor of Arts in 2004 from Seattle University.

The future groom, the son of Abdon and Barbara Mendoza, of Seattle, is a 1990 graduate of Roosevelt High School. He later attended the University of Washington.

The bride-to-be, the daughter of Dr. Christy Nygaard and Rick VanAuken, of Bellevue, and Dr. Mark Fritz, of Issaquah, is a 2006 graduate of Issaquah High School and 2010 graduate of Washington State University.

The future groom, the son of Marty Pfeifer of Odessa, Wash., is a 2005 graduate of Odessa High School. He also attended Spokane Community College.

Courtney Y. Wenneborg and Jeffrey R. Smith, both of Seattle, recently announced their engagement to be married Aug. 18, 2012, in Missoula, Mont.

The bride-to-be is the daughter of Larry and Lynn Wenneborg, of Sammamish. She attended Eastlake High School, where she played soccer for Issaquah Select, and Academy for Young Scholars at the University of Washington, where she earned a Bachelor of Science in biology. She is a program assistant with International Penguin Project at the University of Washington.

The future groom is the son of Dr. Stephen Smith, of Missoula, Mont., and Barbra Smith, of Bellevue. He is a graduate of Big Sky High School, in Missoula. He earned a Bachelor of Science in biology at the UW and a graduate degree in wildlife science. He is a graduate student in the UW’s College of Forestry.

Kimberly Sambrook and David Fetterman, both of San Francisco, announce their engagement to be married on Aug. 20, 2011, at the Four Seasons Hotel in Seattle.

The bride-to-be is the daughter of Robert and Janice Sambrook, of Issaquah. A 1999 graduate of Issaquah High School, she earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in communications in 2003 from the University of Washington and a Master’s in Business Administration in 2009 at Arizona State University. She quit her job to volunteer with the San Francisco Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals and the Progressive Animal Welfare Society.

The future groom is the son of D. Scott and Ann Fetterman, of York, Pa. He is a 1999 graduate of Central York High School. He earned a Bachelor of Science in applied mathematics in 2003 at Harvard and a Master of Science in computer science in 2003. He works at Facebook as engineering manager of Mobile.

The bride to be, the daughter of Sharon and Pat Westling, of Lake Roesiger, is a 2005 graduate of Jackson High School. She earned a master’s degree in Psychology from Central Washington University in 2011. She works as a mental health counselor in Bellevue.

The future groom, the son of Christine and Bob Weisel of Issaquah, is a 2005 graduate of Issaquah High School. He earned a bachelor’s degree in accounting and finance from Central Washington University in 2010. He works as a financial analyst at Turning Point Consulting.

Daryl Lambert and Amy Speight

Daryl Lambert and King County Councilmember Kathy Lambert, of Redmond, announce the engagement of their son, Craig Lambert, to Amy Speight, of Mukilteo.

Speight, the daughter of Shannon and Rachel Speight, of Freeland, is a graduate of the Intercollegiate College of Nursing and works as a pediatric oncology nurse at Seattle Children’s.

Craig Lambert is a graduate of Redmond High School and a 2004 graduate of Washington State University. He is a Kappa Sigma alumnus with a degree in construction management. He works for The Boeing Co. in Everett.

The couple plans to wed in March 2012 and make their home in Mukilteo.

The bride-to-be, the daughter of Alan and Jane Lacy, of Bellevue, is a 2003 graduate of Skyline High School. She earned a Bachelor of Arts in political science from Seattle University, and works at Chase Bank in Issaquah.

The future groom, the son of Dave and Teri Perun, of Sammamish, is a 2004 graduate of Stony Creek High School in Michigan. He earned a Bachelor of Science in exercise science from Miami University of Ohio in 2009. He works as a personal trainer at Thrive Community Fitness.

Christopher Cassani and Laura Stroh

The bride-to-be is the daughter of Rex and Lynne McCullough, of Issaquah, and Robert and Terry Stroh, of Lake Stevens. She is a 2002 graduate of Issaquah High School. She received a Bachelor of Arts in international relations from Boston University in 2007 and a master’s degree in security studies from Georgetown University in 2009.

She is a research scientist at Milcord LLC in Waltham, Mass., working for the Department of Defense.

The future groom is the son of Richard and Mary Ellen Cassani, of Weymouth, Mass. He graduated from Xaverian Brothers High School in Weymouth in 2003. He earned a Bachelor of Arts in history and Spanish at Boston University in 2007 and is pursuing a master’s of business administration at the University of Massachusetts.

He works as an aide to the mayor of Quincy, Mass.
