Stolen wallet

A wallet and its contents, worth an estimated $300, was stolen May 23 from the 21900 block of Southeast 51st Street.

 

Ring and run

At about 11 p.m. May 23, three boys rang the doorbell of a man in the 1300 block of 270th Way Southeast and ran off. The man chased the boys in his car and caught up to them a few blocks later. The boys say the man yelled profanities and threatened them with a baseball bat. The man denies making a threat. All parties agreed there is a bit of a history behind the incident. All also agreed to have the incident documented without any charges being filed.

 

Stolen pressure washer

A pressure washer, worth an estimated $300, was stolen May 24 from the 300 block of Mount Kenya Drive Southwest.

School harassment

Police received a complaint May 16 in the 500 block of Northwest Holly Street about a very vocal male coming into the school administration building twice during the week and venting at the front desk receptionist.

 

Park and ride

Police found two people having sex May 16 at the Issaquah Highlands Park & Ride in the 1700 block of Highlands Drive Northeast. They were told to leave and they did.

Suspicious event   results in arrest

At about 10:45 a.m. April 13, a resident reported an unknown woman knocked on her door and claimed to be there to pick up an item advertised on craigslist. The woman acted strangely, and left in a Mercedes station wagon driven by a man. While traveling to the location, an officer saw the vehicle and stopped it on Southeast 228th Avenue. The driver was arrested for having a misdemeanor warrant in Renton. He and the female passenger said they’d gone to the home to buy an iPad, but determined it was the wrong address.

Police received a noise complaint in the 3200 block of Northeast Harrison Drive on April 11, of a worker listening to talk radio. The worker said he would turn it down and listen to his iPod.

Stolen tools

Tools, worth an estimated $1,000, were stolen from the 18500 block of Southeast Newport Way on March 26.

 

Bear sighting

A person spotted a bear in the 23300 block of Southeast Black Nugget Road on March 26. Police responded but the bear was gone.

 

Return to sender

In the 5300 block of 229th Avenue Southeast, a man reported March 26 that someone had placed what appeared to be dog feces in his mailbox. He stated that he had a minor property dispute with a neighbor but was unsure if he would be responsible for something like this.

Off leash

Police responded to a horse-riding stable in the 23800 block of Southeast 24th Street at 11 a.m. March 22. A man had been riding by on his bicycle with his dog off leash. The dog spooked a horse, which threw its 15-year-old rider, causing the girl to fracture a vertebra. When the girl’s father confronted the bike rider, he responded, yelling that he doesn’t have to have his dog on a leash and using profanity. The woman who runs the stable was more interested in an apology for the man’s behavior than anything else.

 

Vandalism

Someone egged a home in the 3000 block of 255th Avenue Southeast at 3:15 a.m. March 22. The homeowner says this is between the 12th and 15th time this has happened in the past few months. He suspects his teenage daughter’s ex-boyfriend.

Warrant arrest

Police contacted a male and female sleeping on the ground outside a business in the 2800 block of 228th Avenue Southeast at about 11:05 p.m. March 18. The female stated she had been banned from Tent City 4 for seven days. She had two felony warrants for her arrest, so police took her into custody. The male returned to Tent City.

Burglary

A man in the 3200 block of East Lake Sammamish Parkway Southeast reported someone broke into his house between 7:50 a.m. and 5:30 p.m. March 18. He reported a laptop, guitar and pair of heirloom rings, worth a combined $2,500, were stolen. Someone seems to have attempted to enter through the garage door and a bedroom window, before entering through a bathroom window.

Vandalism

A woman reported someone scratched the hood of her car in the 700 block of 240th Way Southeast sometime March 12.

 

War games

Police responded March 14 to a report of malicious mischief in the 23400 block of Southeast Black Nugget Road. Approximately 30 minutes prior to the report, someone shot a large number of paint balls at a building.

Damaged window

A malicious mischief report was filed March 4 in the 900 block of Northeast Ingram Street regarding a damaged window on a BMW 330i. The estimated loss was $200.

 

Mail theft

A Sammamish woman called police after she believed some mail thefts occurred between 2 and 3:30 p.m. March 4 in the 2900 block of 218th Avenue Southeast. The woman saw a white pickup truck with a lawnmower in the back pull up in front of her mailboxes, as did a neighbor. The women say they saw an Hispanic male wearing a bright green shirt and construction vest get out of the truck, while a white male stayed in the truck. The woman found a way to watch the truck unobtrusively, and said the Hispanic male took mail from a mailbox and hid it under his vest. Later on, someone else was able to get pictures of the truck, the driver and the truck’s license plate.

Love letter

Someone vandalized the front doors to Pine Lake Middle School between Feb. 21 and 24. They wrote of their love for someone using a black, permanent marker. The markings were cleaned off prior to police arrival, but someone had taken a photo.

 

Good deed

Police responded to an apartment in the 1800 block of Trossachs Boulevard at 1 p.m. Feb 22. A resident reported he could hear one of his neighbors crying for help. When officers arrived, they could also hear calls for help. They kicked the door down and found a man had slipped and wedged his arm in his walker chair. There was no way the man, who has multiple sclerosis, could free himself. The officer helped the man out of the situation. Firefighters from EFR found the man was generally OK, with the exception of a sore arm, and then did their best to repair the damaged door. The police offered the man the number for the county claims office, but the man said he would not need it.

Hit and run

A Sammamish man was driving south on 228th Avenue Southeast when another car ran a red light at Issaquah-Pine Lake Road at 9:12 p.m. Feb. 15. As a result, the man struck the car that ran the light, and it then sped away. The man followed long enough to get the license plate number.

 

Burglary

A couple in the 20000 block of Southeast 27th Place reported someone came into their home through an unlocked door between 9 and 11:50 a.m. Feb. 15. The couple said they were missing a phone, laptop, loose change and jewelry worth at least $1,850.
