Kimberly Lynn Byrkett, of Preston, and Colin Risto Lappala, of Bothell, were married Sept. 12, 2009, at Cougar Mountain Overlook, in Issaquah.
The Rev. Larry Thomas, of Our Savior Lutheran Church of Issaquah, officiated. A reception followed at the Preston Community Center.
The couple honeymooned at Kauai, Hawaii.
The matron of honor was the bride’s sister, Colleen Marie Byrkett Darnell, and the bridesmaid was the bride’s sister, Carrie Ann Byrkett Rothman.
Kimberly, the daughter of Bruce and Norma Byrkett, of Preston, is a 2003 graduate of Issaquah High School and earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in human services from Western Washington University in 2007. She is the client services program coordinator for Hopelink. Read more
