Woman robs convenience store at knife point

The AM/PM convenience store was robbed late March 10, after a woman reportedly entered the business displaying what appeared to be a handgun, police said.

The gun, which was actually a starter pistol, like the kind used at the beginning of races, was wrestled away by the clerk.

A struggle ensued after the suspect demanded money at which time she pulled a knife on the clerk. The suspect was then disarmed and fled the scene on foot. The clerk was not injured.
