BullsEye Dog Rescue is hosting its fifth annual Pit Bulls on Parade from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Aug. 24 at Riverdog Canine Coaching, 1400 19th Ave. N.W.

The event features adoptable pit bulls from the Puget Sound region while raising money and awareness for the responsible rescue and ownership of the misunderstood breed.

There will be demonstrations of skill in sports, including many activities the public can try with their own dogs. A competition includes categories such as “best trick” and “best butt wiggle,” and a “Best in Show” title given to the best representation of what a true pit bull should look and act like. There will also be raffle drawings with prizes donated by local businesses.
