State auditors made a finding of significant deficiency after completing a study of the record-keeping of Eastside Fire & Rescue.
Released by the state Feb. 2, the audit covered the timeframe between Jan. 1, 2012, and Dec. 31, 2013.

The Washington State Auditor’s Office recently performed an accountability audit and examination of the Issaquah School District’s financial statements and federal requirements for the period of Sept. 1, 2012, through Aug. 31, 2013.
In the areas the state examined for its accountability audit, it found Issaquah’s internal controls were adequate to safeguard public assets and that the school district complied with state laws and regulations and its own policies and procedures.

The Sammamish Plateau Water & Sewer District received a pair of clean audits March 4.
The Washington State’s Auditor’s Office did not find any problems with the district’s financial reporting. It also found no problems with other matters that auditing standards would require to be reported.
The auditor’s office also reviewed district practices in billing, general disbursements and controls over procurement, and found the district has sufficient controls in place to keep public assets safe.
