NEW — 1:50 p.m. May 14, 2010

USA Hockey and The SnoKing Hockey Association based out of Castle Ice Arena in Renton — and Kingsgate in Kirkland — will host three Try Hockey Free sessions Saturday.

Children of all ages are invited to come down to Castle Ice, 2620 164th Ave. S.E. Try on a pair of skates, gloves and helmet, and take to the ice for an hour or two.

Assisting the new players on the ice will be several former National Hockey League players, including Jamie Huscroft, a retired Canadian defenseman who spent 10 years in the NHL and now instructs amateur players in Renton.
