Police ticket more than 300 drivers for texting, talking

Between May 20 and June 2, extra law enforcement patrolled King County roads looking for unbuckled drivers and passengers, and motorists using their cellphones or other electronic devices.

During the patrols, 387 seatbelt infractions were written, in addition to 322 cellphone/texting or usage of other electronic device tickets, according to a news release from the Washington Traffic Safety Commission.
